Shane & Shane
Clean

Artist Info: Discography
Album length: 11 tracks
Street Date: October 19, 2004

After their fan "thank you" album titled Upstairs, the acoustic-folk-pop and inspirational worship duo, Shane & Shane, are back again with yet another arousing worship album. The vocalist/songwriter/guitarist duet Shane Everett and Shane Barnard have gone back to the musical familiarity and simplicity that had distinguished the duo early on. As opening acts for artists like Ginny Owens and Shawn Groves, Shane & Shane have created a sort of fandom in the Christian music industry. With a Dove nomination already under their belts and their newest album titled Clean being their 5th release already, this duo is growing in more ways than one.

Signed with Inpop Records, Shane & Shane don't aspire to grow under the spotlight, but instead with their Savior. God is the main focus of their newest project, with it being obviously a worship album.

Starting off Clean is "Saved by Grace," an upbeat song which could be described as lyrically truthful and a little repetitious but with an energetic beat. Later in the album you find classic worship songs like "There Is None Like You," with the slow acoustic guitar beat showing, and "He Is Exalted," both performed with amazing talent by Shane and Shane. You also find the more slow, folkish "Acres of Hope." This album bluntly proves that Shane & Shane are gifted musicians.

I would suggest this album for fans of Justin McRoberts, Chris Tomlin, Charlie Hall, Lincoln Brewster, David Crowder Band, Caedmon's Call, Watermark, or Third Day. I would also recommend it to those who enjoy their secular counterparts like Dave Matthews Band, or John Mayer.
